Michael Jordan and Andrew Bonnar of Nightclub Sound and Light (NSAL Ltd) of Scotland have recently installed a complete Mach speaker system into El Divino, that favorite clubbers get-away in the heart of Ibiza. The venue’s stunning location and international clientele make it one of the most high-profile clubs in the world.

“The client required a sound system that would last the test of time yet that would perform no higher than 50%, but also be able to give a true reproduction of sound, with clarity and a clean deep bass,” comments Michael Jordan. “The client went for the Mach system due to the praise it receives from other nightclub owners. The main factor is that the client trusts the Martin brand for his venues and knows he will receive superior support.”

The Mach installation was completed in a limited time frame as the venue was used as a comedy club during the off season. The project was started in April and completed in early May 2006.

Complementing a Martin lighting system on the club’s main floor, NSAL placed a cluster of medium throw M30T’s working with M218T reflex loaded subs. Three zones of two clusters of Installation Series medium throw CM15’s and M218T subs maintain the audio consistency throughout the venue. Other Mach speakers employed at El Divino are CW215 and CW112 subs along with aesthetically designed, ceiling recessed CS8’s.

According to Michael the challenge was to create a sound system that was clear and powerful without disturbing the ‘millionaire yachts’ at the nearby marina that surrounds El Divino. “The Mach system is clear and gives a true reproduction of the music played,” Michael says. “The speakers are amazing and have performed excellently this season. In fact, I have received praise from some of the top DJ's who have played here like Todd Terry, Tony Humphries and Joey Negro to name a few.”

TONI, the nightclub manager, added, “The sound is pleasant to the ear, not painful, and has the perfect presence for this venue.”

El Divino also boasts an indoor and outdoor Martin lighting system, also handled by NASL. El Divino is just one of three venues that NASL have installed with Mach speaker systems for this client on Ibiza.
